Zoiper is a great softphone app, which is fairly easy to setup and use. We prefer MicroSIP for Windows, but Zoiper is a good choice if you need something for mac, iphone, android, etc.
Zoiper also has the advantage of supporting IAX2 protocol extensions. This can be useful if your internet provider, especially some mobile data services, are not voip friendly, or flat out block SIP traffic. Our cloud pbx phone systems allow you to create an extension type IAX2 which uses a different range of ports, that helps get around packet filters or picky firewalls.

IMPORTANT: You will use the Login button, NOT the Create Account button. Just enter your voiSip phone number/password (or pbx extension/password) then click Login to begin.
Setup Zoiper on Smartphones...
- download, install and open the app
- In the top line, enter your 10 digit CLONE LINE number or extension number, followed by @ symbol, followed by a Clone Line or cloud pbx server address. No spaces.
- In the 2nd line, enter your CLONE LINE SIP Device password, or your extension secret.
- Click the Create an Account button to save and continue.
- You'll see a page to confirm the hostname. It should be the server address you entered previously.
- Wait for Zoiper to scan for connection type. It should find a SIP or IAX2 connection. Click the connection to select it.
- Click the "FINISH" button to complete setup.
- Dial a friendly number to test.
Setup Zoiper on Windows...
- download, install and run
- if you get a windows firewall popup, allow both Public and Private network access
- Enter your user/pass info and click Login (do NOT Create a New Account; you should already have a SIP or IAX2 account)
- username: [your 10 digit CLONE LINE number, or your PBX extension number]
- password: [your CLONE LINE SIP device password, or your PBX extension secret]
- click LOGIN
- domain: [any CLONE LINE SIP server address, or if you have a pbx, use your pbx address]
- authenticate: you can skip this
- zoiper will search and should find SIP UDP, which is what we want
- proceed to setup your mic and speaker preference
- Dial a friendly number to test.
